Abstract
Interferon (IFN)-? therapy is not effective for most patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection for reasons that are not clear. We investigated whether HBV infection reduced IFN-?-mediated induction of antiviral defense mechanisms in human hepatocytes.
