Eine kindliche Larynxfraktur – Operative Versorgung und Trachealkanülenmanagement

We report on a 5-year-old patient who suffered from a laryngeal trauma and a fracture of the larynx due to a sledge accident, which was surgically reconstructed following an emergency tracheotomy. Multiple surgical revisions and endoscopies were necessary until the child could finally be decannulated successfully. Only immediate intensive medical and surgical care as well as a close interdisciplinary cooperation in tracheal cannula management could accommodate this rare case.
