Research Interests
Julia Neumanns junior research group analyzes the pathogenesis of pediatric brain tumors and aims to find new targets for personalized therapies. The group focuses on embryonal brain tumors, such as embryonal brain tumors with multilayered rosettes (ETMRs) and embryonal intraocular tumors, as well as K27M-mutant midline gliomas. One focus is to unravel the function of the stem- and progenitor cell marker Lin28A that is highly expressed in ETMRs, but also in other tumor entities.
