Abstract

To find a potential prognostic marker of the induction of hydronephrotic atrophy in congenital hydronephrosis we investigated whether the messenger (m)RNA expression and urinary concentration of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) correlated with the degree of partial ureteral obstruction, and subsequent hydronephrotic atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.
