Stressoren, Stresserleben und Stressfolgen von Pflegekräften im ambulanten und stationären Setting in Deutschland.

Abstract

Abstract
The article provides an overview of the current state of research on work-related stress in outpatient and inpatient care. Risk factors (e.g. diseases) and stressors (e.g. time pressure), stress experiences as well as short-term and long-term consequences of stress (e.g. emotional exhaustion and burnout) in the nursing sector are discussed. Furthermore, the study highlights ways of coping with stress and health promotion among nursing staff. More studies on work-related stress among nursing personnel have been carried out outside Germany, particularly on burnout as a consequence of stress. Against the backdrop of current structural challenges for the nursing sector in Germany, there is an urgent need for research with respect to the health and safety situation of outpatient and inpatient nursing personnel.
