Psychische Belastungsfaktoren und Ressourcen in der ambulanten Pflege

Abstract

This review article deals with the current state of research on psychological stress factors and resources in outpatient care. Potential stress factors described in the literature are from the fields of work content (e.g. dealing with suffering), work organization (e.g. shift system), social relationships (e.g. lack of recognition), work environment (e.g. time delay due to high traffic volume) and new forms of work (e.g. lack of separation between work and private life). Work resources include, for example, a high degree of personal responsibility, a large amount of freedom, the meaningfulness of work and the possibility of self-protection through frequent changes of setting. There is an urgent need for research to identify psychological stress factors and resources more systematically and to reveal the possible consequences of work stresses. Especially in the light of demographic change and the associated shift in age structures, comprehensive research approaches are needed in order to be able to develop health-promoting measures for specific target groups in outpatient care in the future.
