N2 - Laparoscopically-guided liver biopsy was performed to make the diagnosis in a 54-year old female patient with clinical and serological signs of both non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). Figure A shows a sample from the right liver lobe (HE, 20x) with a blue-boxed area (Figure B) (HE, 100x) demonstrating a total of eight portal tracts. Macrovesicular steatosis of about 50% of hepatocytes and mild lymphocyte infiltration were detected.
