While pioneers in interventional vascular surgery use highly innovative techniques to climb mount vascular, the vast majority set up camp at the foot of this mountain. Globally, more than 200 million patients suffer from peripheral arterial occlusive disease,1 and some 500 million patients suffer from diabetes.
