Individualisiertes Metakognitives Therapieprogramm für Menschen mit Psyochse (MKT+)

Abstract

Metacognitive Training (MCT) is an easy-to-implement, modular, presentation-based group program that aims to casually reduce schizophrenia-specific cognitive biases by demonstrating the fallibility of thinking. The goal is to reduce schizophrenia-specific symptoms using this backdoor approach (material: www.uke.de/mct; e-learning: www.uke.de/e-mct). The MCT+ is an adaptation for individual therapy, which, through the addition of cognitive-behavioral therapy, aims to address the individual problems of patients and to question (delusional) beliefs. Meta-analyses confirm the effectiveness of the approach. This paper offers a practical introduction to MCT for psychosis using many examples, focusing on the individual setting.
