Four years of the IDOMENEO study: what has Mozartʼs opera brought to the interdisciplinary treatment of peripheral arterial occlusive disease?

The IDOMENEO study was funded by the German Federal Joint Committee. Its primary aim was the valid utilization of research data from health insurance claims and registries concerning the treatment of peripheral arterial occlusive disease. In addition to the identification of suitable quality indicators, the data protection compliant and safe GermanVasc registry platform was developed and implemented in Germany (clinicaltrials.gov NCT03098290). This article gives a brief overview on the reached project goals and a total of 37 scientific publications between 2017 and 2021.
