N2 - Neuronal polarity refers to the different organization of the axonal and somatodendritic territory in the mature neuron with axons propagating signals and dendrites processing them. However, a clear polarity is already established at early developmental stages and initially supports the directed migration of neurons to upper cortical layers. Because improper migration or establishment of axonal-dendritic connectivity leads to brain structural defects, which are the cause of severe developmental syndromes, it becomes essential to understand the mechanisms that instruct axon and dendrite initial growth and acquisition of final identity
