N2 - This study investigates the cognitive-emotional arguments advanced by young adults on the subject of AIDS within the frame-work of a multivariate approach. The centre of all the deliberations is the question as to which factors exercise a major influence on emotional experience and on changes in sexual behaviour. The random sample study comprises 354 Göttingen students. Implications of the findings on AIDS prevention are discussed.
