Research Interests

Christian F. Krebs is Privatdozent and principal investigator in the Division of Nephrology, Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. He studied Medicine in Göttingen and Hamburg, and obtained his MD at the Institute of Immunology in Hamburg, Germany. He trained in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the III, Medizinische Klinik, Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany and received his habilitation in 2014. His research interests are T cells in settings of autoimmunity and he has intensively addressed the role of Th17 cells in glomerulonephritis in the past few years. His group is focusing on state-of-the-art characterization and therapeutic targeting of kidney infiltrating T cells.
